GK Finechem shares its experience in developing the Vietnamese market

At the Fourth Vietnam Smart Technology Exhibition – OCTF, GK Finechem shared about its development process in Vietnam, its key products, and its experience in managing the import of chemical reagents from Japan.

As part of the exhibition, representatives from VCTI had a discussion with Mr. Kozo Yoshaya, Business Manager of GK Finechem. The discussion focused on the company’s journey in Vietnam, the product characteristics, and the experiences accumulated during its operations in this market.

GK Finechem was established in 2010, marking 16 years of operation in 2026. According to the company's information, the company is the exclusive distributor of two famous Japanese chemical companies: Kanto Chemical Co., Inc. and FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation. GK Finechem also stated that it is currently the only distributor able to simultaneously supply products from both of these companies.

Chemical reagents imported directly from Japan

GK Finechem's main product is chemical reagents imported directly from Japan.

According to the interview, importing chemicals requires many steps, from preparing documents and coordinating transportation to meeting legal regulations and related management requirements. These are factors that businesses need to monitor and handle throughout the entire import process.

Over the years of operation, GK Finechem has accumulated experience and expertise to effectively manage these processes. The company states that compliance with Vietnamese regulations is an important requirement in its business operations.

The group's operational platform in the region

A notable information in the exchange was that before GK Finechem launched its business in Vietnam, the company’s group had already been present in the region. Another company within the group focused mainly on water treatment solutions.

This information adds a perspective on the expansion of the group's operations, with business sectors including the supply of chemical reagents and water treatment solutions.

The insights from GK Finechem show that, in addition to the supply of products, experience in preparing documents, coordinating logistics, and meeting legal requirements are important factors in the chemical business in Vietnam.
